Family History

Tracing your family tree can be tiresome, but also fun. In tracing my mothers ancestry it was discovered that:

A relative was hung at York jail for murdering his wife.
In the late 1800s our family married into the Hattersley’s. Could this be the very same Hattersley’s as the MP ?

Steam Railways

Since the mid 70s I have been involved to varying degrees in the Bluebell Railway at Sheffield Park, East Sussex. I am a share holder in the BlueBell Railway PLC.

Since early school days I have followed developments in aviation. I have hundreds of slides taken at various locations covering historic & modern aircraft, both military and civil.

Scounting

Although I have not been involved with Scouting since 1994 I still follow events and subscribe to Scouting Magazine.

Startrek

As a family we are avid Startrek fans. We attend conventions, although I have not attended recently. I enjoy making models of the various starships, most of which adorn the living room ceiling.
